My journey to becoming an Image Consultant and Stylist has been one of self-discovery, resilience, and a deep passion for helping others step into their confidence.
I was born in England, and when I was six, my family moved to Washington, D.C. As a child, I experienced a mix of cultures and environments that shaped my perspective.
My parents, wanting to give me a "proper education," sent me to the private British School of Washington, followed by high school years at Wrekin College, a boarding school in Shropshire, U.K., where I fell further in love with art and deeply developed my creative side.
After high school, I set off on a year abroad to Santiago, Chile, which led to some of the most memorable experiences of my life. During this time, I met my future husband, a Canadian from Barrie, Ontario. Traveling broadened my horizons, sparked my sense of adventure, and deepened my desire to experience the world beyond the classroom.
When I returned to England, I attended university to study Spanish, but it didn’t resonate after my year abroad. After sticking it out for the first year, I decided to leave and headed back to Washington, D.C., ready to dive into something new.
That “something new” turned out to be the special events industry, where I spent several years as the Art Director for a bespoke event décor firm and later in the catering department at the prestigious Cosmos Club.
I was heavily involved in society events, even taking position as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications on the Board of Directors for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the International Special Events Society.
It was in this environment that I honed my skills in planning, design, and curating experiences for others. I was drawn to the power of presentation: how a space could transform a mood, how an outfit could make someone feel more confident—and I knew I wanted to explore this further.
Through my connections in the special events industry, I was offered and pursued several modelling opportunities, which gave me a confidence in front of the camera and taught me about photoshoots, composition, posing, and building comfort levels, both in front of and behind the camera.
In 2015, life took an unexpected turn when my husband and I decided I should relocate to Canada. It was during a politically charged time in the U.S., and we felt moving North was the long-term option for us anyway, so why not just accelerate our timeline a bit?
However, this transition wasn’t easy. I found myself struggling with depression and mental health challenges as I adjusted to my new life. Despite the difficulties, this chapter of my life became one of growth and renewal. I received a late ADHD diagnosis at 33, found my footing again, and rediscovered my creative passions in a new form.
It was during this time that I began my journey as an entrepreneur. Drawing on my background in the events industry and my innate love for art, fashion, and design, I started to help people feel more confident through developing their personal image. This allowed me to merge my love for creating beautiful things with a deeper sense of purpose, of helping my clients unlock their potential and present their best, most authentic selves to the world.
Now, as an Image Consultant and Stylist, I offer personalized styling packages, body and colour analysis, and wardrobe consultations. My goal is to empower others, helping them discover the styles, cuts, and colours that flatter their unique features and bring out their inner confidence. My approach is not just about clothes, but self-expression, self-confidence, and making people feel amazing in their own skin.
Looking back, my story is one of resilience, courage, and finding my way. I’ve taken every challenge in stride, learned from every twist in the road, and ultimately found a career that allows me to blend creativity with purpose.
Now, I use my experiences to inspire others to step into their own power, helping them see that style isn’t just what you wear, but the feeling you can get wearing something that is undeniable YOU.
And that’s why I’m here—to help you to be your best self, inside and out.
